Running a small business is a daunting task, and often it can feel like you are in the thick of it alone. It’s no surprise that 41% of small business owners say their biggest challenge is “wearing all the hats,” leading approximately 29% to work more than 50 hours per week.
For many, it’s not a lack of wanting help; they just don’t know where to turn. Despite the variety of tools and programs available, these resources tend to face visibility issues. Grants, mentoring programs and nonprofit services, for example, are often not marketed effectively. While juggling the day-to-day responsibilities of their business, owners have little time to seek out mentors, workshops or digital tools. And even if they do, complicated applications, outdated websites or unclear instructions can make the process seem overwhelming, pushing it to the bottom of their priorities.
